Olivier Véran unveiled new measures to curb the increase in Covid cases including the obligation of a booster dose to keep his health pass active. From left to right, politicians take offense at the announcements.
On November 25 during a press point, Olivier Véran announced that the third dose against Covid-19 was now « open to all adults from five months after their last injection », with a health pass deactivated if no reminder is was performed seven months after the second dose.
Matthieu Orphelin, former deputy for La République en Marche (LREM) and now spokesperson for the ecologist Yannick Jadot (EELV), denounces the government’s stubbornness: « No free tests for all, no CO2 detectors, no extensive teleworking, no massive mobilization of barrier gestures. ” « With this strategy, we will have very bad surprises in the coming weeks, » he adds.
The government persists.

More measured, the First Secretary of the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure encourages on France Info the injection of the third dose but asks for the « return of free tests to avoid transmissions » and the reopening of vaccinodromes.
Virulent criticism also on the right of the political spectrum
In many tweets and a video, the presidential candidate of Debout la France, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, considers for his part that « instead of making the tests free and deploying air purifiers, the only effective measures against viral circulation, the Macron-Véran tandem again chooses the vaccine pressure and social control ”. “Maximum constraints for zero protection,” explains the member for Essonne.
The president of the Patriots Florian Philippot notes for his part that this will entail an obligation « via the health pass [d’] a reminder every five months (and no longer six), as envisaged by the government ”. « [Cela] allows you to do 2.4 doses per year against two! That is 20% more turnover: well done Pfizer! ”He laments.
Oblige via the #Health Pass a booster every 5 months (and no longer 6), as envisaged by the government, allows 2.4 doses per year against 2!
That is 20% more turnover: well done Pfizer! 😂

In the same vein, the MEP of the National Rally Gilbert Collard invite Internet users to wonder about « cyclical vaccination »: « Listen carefully and tell me if you understand as I do that the pharmaceutical VRP [Olivier] Véran, casually, does not tell us « simply » the third dose, but cyclical and permanent vaccination every 7 months. What do you think ? »
