According to information from CNews and AFP two police officers were hit by gunfire while intervening at a roadblock in Fort-de-France: a PJ official was shot in the arm and a CSI police officer in his bulletproof vest.

According to CNews information confirmed by AFP, a judicial police official was shot and wounded in Fort-de-France (Martinique) on the night of November 25 to 26 while intervening at a roadblock.

Another police officer assigned to the security and intervention company (CSI) was hit in his bulletproof vest.

The continuous news channel specifies that the life-threatening prognosis of the police officer hit in the arm is not engaged. AFP specifies that the RAID will intervene to dismantle the dam.

The prefect of Martinique on November 25 established a curfew « from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. until calm is restored » to deal with « nocturnal urban violence » since November 21, he announced in a statement.

« Groups of individuals have committed degradation and installed roadblocks », and « acts of violence have taken place against the security forces », argues the prefect who adds that « 11 people » were arrested and  » several weapons ”seized.

Security will be reinforced from the night of November 25 to 26, he said, « with a more mobile device and more to target the most difficult points. » The blockage of certain axes continued on November 24 on the two islands.

The prefecture of Guadeloupe announced for its part that the GIGN had helped to defeat an attack against the gendarmerie brigade of Morne-A-l’Eau, in the center of Grande Terre. « Ten arrests took place throughout the department, » she said.
